Craig Vielguth, executive director of advanced technology solutions, Telcordia Technologies will give a presentation entitled the “Reinventing Automotive: Will Asia- Pac Be Ready?” at the 2009 Taipei International Automotive Electronics Forum. Telcordia Technologies, formerly the Bell Communication Research (Bellcore), is a major telecommunications software company in the US. Moreover, to support the seven baby bells operations, spin-off from AT&T. Bellcore was established in 1984. Telcordia Technologies is the initiator of numerous telecommunications and internet technologies, such as Advanced intelligent networks and ATM/SONET/ADSL., and it owns more than 1500 patents. Telcordia products have been featured in the annual 100 innovation of Research & Development Magazine for 14 times since 1990. The firm also cooperates with Nissan, Fox, and General Motors in telematics research and development. Its headquarters is in New Jersey and has about 4000 employees. The speaker is mainly responsible for innovation, product development, and marketing of global telecommunications, telematics and auto vehicles, making him very familiar with the automotive electronics supply chain.

Tarun Singhal, dIrector of Saund Bahwan Automotive, the biggest enterprise in Oman will give a presentation at 2009 Taipei International Automotive Electronics. It has been reported that his company achieved an annual profit of around USD 5 billion, and has monopolies of the automobile market that supply TOYOTA, LEXUS. FORD, KIA, DAIHATSU, and HINO vehicles. Saud Bahwan Automotive is also the biggest auto accessory dealer in the world, which occupies a 3 million square-meter lot and accounts for 1.2 million in volume per year. It imports from some 55 suppliers worldwide, including Taiwan suppliers. Apart from this, Saud Bahwan also sells construction and crude oil extract equipment.
